Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? Teasley's Physical Education department is proud to partner with the NFL and their PLAY60 program to bring you BACK TO FOOTBALL Friday on September 7th. Back to Football Friday is a school-wide event that encourages students to get active and excited about the upcoming football season. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite NFL football gear. During their specials time the students will participate in football related stations testing their throwing, catching, kicking, punting, and speed/agility. As we jump into a new school year, the Teasley Attendance Team wants to reward those students who come to school on time every day. Students who have perfect attendance at the end of the first 9 weeks, ending on Wednesday, October 10th, will receive a free dress down day, a surprise treat, and 1 entry into the end of the year drawing for a BRAND NEW BIKE! Furthermore, those students who have perfect attendance for the entire school year will have the opportunity to participate in a end of year celebration during the last week of school as well as FOUR entries into the drawing for the bike! Reading: I can describe characters in a story and how their actions affect the story. (RL 3.3) Writing: Narrative Writing- I can write a story that captures and keeps my readers attention. (W.3.1) Students are focusing on using traditional words and phrases to help their story flow and writing strong endings. Math: I can use arrays to help me find a multiplication fact. (O.A. 1) Students are learning how to use the following strategies to solve multiplication problems: arrays, equal groups, commutative property, and repeated addition. It's Friday!! We've made it to our first weekend of 3rd grade!! We've had a great couple of days getting to know each other and learn the rules/procedures of our classroom. We created our Essential Agreements for our classroom yesterday and they are as follows:
For those of you who ordered supplies from the 5th grade fundraiser, those supplies are slowly but surely getting delivered to the classroom. For those who are still needing to bring in supplies, please try to do so by Monday. We will be setting up our notebooks and data binder so it would be great if we could all do this at the same time. Also, please try to send in all paperwork from the Cobb County Folder and your Parent Letter to me as soon as you can. I hope you all have a fun and safe weekend!
